Profile

Erdemir entered the sector in 1965 by establishing Turkey's first flat steel production facility. Following a strategy of continuous growth, Erdemir increased its production capacity and product diversity in order to respond to the needs of the Turkish industry. The Capacity Increase and Modernisation Investments (KAM I and KAM II) completed in 1996 marked an important milestone. Since 2006, when it joined OYAK, it has continued its strong growth by utilising its financial strength and experience. Erdemir carries out advanced steel research by establishing an R&D Centre, which aims to offer innovative solutions and use its resources effectively.
